Utah Business Idea Challenge: What I Learned
The journey continues—even when the trophy isn't yours (yet).
I recently participated in the Utah Business Idea Challenge, pitching my project to help improve rural package delivery through Ruralivery, a web-based logistics platform.
Unfortunately, I didn't win the competition, but the experience was powerful and validating. Every time this event is held, there's a new opportunity to test your ideas, improve your pitch, and meet people trying to build something great in Utah.
If you're based in Utah and have a business idea—whether it's fully built or just in your notes app—you should definitely apply when the next round opens. The state is investing in people who want to build, and that includes folks like us.

Next Steps
The dream doesn't stop here. I’m continuing to develop MV-SCC.com and Ruralivery, and I’ll be sharing more about the journey through this blog. I’m also working on improving the SEO of all my Django-based sites to reach a wider audience and increase visibility for rural entrepreneurship and local impact projects.
If you’re working on something similar, I’d love to connect. Let’s build something meaningful together.
